If the world population was 100 people: Interesting statistics

Posted on November 3rd, 2013 by BreAnn

According to the latest statistics, the world population has now reached 7 BILLION PEOPLE! There are SO many people living in the world today, it’s pretty hard to comprehend what that number even means. So… what if we took the world population and reduced that number down to only 100 people? Do you realize only 7 of these 100 would have a college education? Forty-eight of them would live on less than $2 USD per day and twenty-one of these people would be overweight!  A little easier to comprehend now, isn’t it?

Well, the people over at www.100people.org put together some interesting statistics that help us understand the demographics of people all around the world by reducing the world population down to 100 people. The findings below are pretty incredible:

75 would be cell phone users
